So far Q2-25 spot electricity prices are following the footsteps of Q1-25, by not living up to expectations set prior to the commencement of the quarter. May-25 trades volumes were high as is normally the case, but less than May-24 levels. LGC prices strengthened and VEEC fell markedly.

1.0 Highlights
So far, Q2-25 is tracking in a similar manner as Q1-25 with nothing too remarkable occurring in the electricity spot market, although there have been many threatening events that have not transpired into material extreme events. As a consequence, the forward market for the quarter has softened, although the coldest of the 3-months, being June, is yet to unfold.
